measuring

My little group are planning a Napoleonic clash, after a break of over 2 years (years not empty, I might add but full of Colonial, Ancient & WW2 games).

We've gone back to our rules of choice & our newest member raised the issue of measuring. These rules allow it for firing & charging.

What are your views?

Outside of Warhammer, most games allow pre-measuring for chargers and shooting. But at the end of the day its how you like the play, there is now right or wrong with wargames, just players preferences. :D
